Yet another talented Hip-Hop giant moving on to antother realm.
J. Dilla is one of the founding kats of the boom-bap. It is unforturnate to see him go.
Producing everyone from Tribe Called Quest, alll the way to Madlibb, he has had generation-now waiting for the next ish.
Sorry to see him leave, J. Dilla was the most imprtant part of the NEW Hip-Hop jump-off, and will never be forgotten. Hip Hop is missing another element, but yet to gain another.

I just finished listening to Dilla’s “Donuts”. This is a solid album of beats. Dilla diplays his wizardy by compiling an album of solid production.
Must have for anyone who enjoys Hip Hop or for those of us who remember it…

Not to mention that it definately displays his skills at ‘beat juggling’ the samples. It’s all there to hear and tastefully done. Almost everything he touched is a must for the true musician.
It’s a shame we have lost him.
